ORDERING
You can order by contacting us. Preferably you should send us an order in writing, with both product codes and names, quantities and your particulars (both postal and physical address, phone, fax, contact persons' name). We will reconfirm your order as soon as we have it processed. For fast ordering, please order by phone, fax or E-mail. If you wish to test out some of our products, contact us about the possibility of sending you a range of small crafts totalling a certain value, we can then pick samples for you and send them.
QUALITIES
Kuru Craft can guarantee a basic quality. However, no two items are perfect copies (except for media and printed matter). Slight variety in items is part of the charm and specialty of hand-made crafts. For all crafts delivered to you we do our utmost best to make each and every one of them of indisputable quality. if you wish to place orders in quantities for a specific design you like very much and will accept only minimal tolerance for how it looks (e.g. a bracelet with 3 pieces of quill), we can make a special order. After sending us a sample of that specific product we will gather a small group of craft producers to copy that sample, especially for you. Upon special request, we also trade extra high grade crafts. For this extra quality specific prices apply. Likewise, some trading is done in lesser graded products. Please do not confuse the lower grade prices with regular discounts.
QUANTITIES
By purchasing from the producers, we build up a constant stock of crafts, but we cannot deliver really large quantities on short notice. This specifically applies to leather products.
PRICES AND PAYMENT
You can contact
us for an up to date price list. The prices mentioned in the price listdo
not include shipping and are subject to change. We will issue updated price
lists on a regular basis and send them out to clients of whom we have address
details.
For large orders and/or regular customers discounts can be negotiated. Please
contact us to discuss this. Goods and services can be paid for in several ways
but most common is payment directly through our bank, in US dollars. In general,
we expect you to pay for the goods within 30 days after the date of the invoice.
In case your consignment is on slow transport, the invoice will be forwarded
by air mail.
GETTING THE PRODUCTS PACKED
We have excellent packaging facilities, Generally, goods are packed in whatever boxes are available in the region. For protection, soft material like cloth, bubblewrap, styrofoam and newspapers are added. The boxes are securely sealed with tape and often roped and waxed all around.
GETTING THE PRODUCTS SENT TO YOU
There is a wide range of transport options to get orders out to destinations all over the world. Depending on the nature of the goods, the weight, the destination and the planning preconditions agreed, we choose the most reliable and affordable transport method, in consultation with the client. Basically, the options range from highly insured super-fast courier services to less pressing shipments by low security surface mail. Please note that there are extreme price differences. Unless specified otherwise by the clients, we will look for the option which is most efficient both time-wise and money-wise. If you have a strong preference when it comes to transport, mention it when ordering.
CUSTOMS AND LICENSES
For goods crossing the Botswana border we will handle customs formalities on the Botswana side. This means the goods are briefly described and accompanied by an invoice or inventory. Generally, you should have no problem whatsoever getting the goods imported. Please note that all our naturally sourced materials such as eggs and skins are obtained and traded under licenses and permits from the Botswana Movement.
